Do you struggle with your finances? Always too much month left at the end of your money? Or perhaps you want to have a bit more control over your household budget? The Christians Against Poverty Money Course could be just what you need.
The CAP Money Course is a DVD based course that will teach you:
1. How to build a budget. This is the cornerstone of managing your money well. The session includes advice on how to increase your income and how to cut costs.
2. The CAP Money system. This system will help to simplify your money and make it understandable. It operates using three accounts for your money: a regular payments account, a cash account and a savings account.
3. To use cash instead of cards. Living on cash and getting away from cards means you know exactly where you are and helps you to spend less money.
Doing the CAP Money Course means you will be able to budget, save and spend on the things you want.
After watching the DVDs, trained CAP Money Coaches will be available to help you build your budget and answer any questions you may have. A unique benefit of the CAP Money Course is that, if you discover that you can’t balance your budget and pay off any debts, you will be able to access CAP Money Plus. This is an Internet based debt counselling service from Christians Against Poverty.
The CAP Money Course at St John's
At St John's we aim to run the CAP money course 2-3 times a year. It's spread over three sessions. The course is aimed at anyone, both at church and the wider community who would benefit from sound advice on how to manage their money. All our CAP Money Coaches are trained and you will not need to disclose any personal financial information to them. The course is for you to develop strategies to control your finances.
The next CAP course is Tuesday 22nd November, running for three consecutive weeks (29th Nov, 6th Dec) and is held at Yeadon Westfield Junior School, New Road, Yeadon, LS19 7HW, in the Grassington Classroom. Please contact us using the Contact Us button below if you wish to register interest for this course.
