Ministry Course

Our latest course is Discovering Your Ministry.

This will help you to reflect on the kind of person God has made you to be, how he is gifting you and where he may want to use you in the work of the church.

You will learn how to use the SHAPE acronym to discover your: 

• Spiritual gifts

• Heart’s desire

• Abilities

• Personality

• Experiences

The course consists of one evening session per week, for four weeks - with a little homework between each session. At the end there is the option of meeting with a personal guide who will help you match what you have discovered about yourself with the range  of ministries at St. John’s, so that you can see what the best next step is for you.

Mission Course

This fifth stage is called Discovering your Life’s Mission. It will help you to live more effectively as a

witness and worker for God in the world. Watch this space for more details at a later date.

How to Get Involved

Of course, none of these courses are compulsory! But we want to encourage everyone who wants to grow as a Christian to eventually take each one, when they are available and as your time allows.

God has a wonderful plan for your life and the St. John’s Christian Growth Courses are a great way of becoming equipped to live out his plan for you.
